And the 9th and last principle is Wholesome Recreation. The book states: “Families are strengthened and revitalized when family members join in wholesome, enjoyable activities.” The name of the book is “Strengthening the Family” which is an instructional book by the Church. By the way I did not know that this book existed until I started doing research for this talk. It is one that I wish I had had when my children were growing up. And it is available in the church online store.
And I would like to add my testimony that life is full of teachable moments when you look for them. Use them and enjoy your children while they are young because before long they are gone and that was a missed opportunity. And I would like to say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
