As I was reading this story[attached below] my 1st thought was that I would rather have a .22 v the .25 as it has better penetration.

Many years ago when I was working the emergency department of the hospital I had a person walk in complaining of a head ache. There was some blood on the right side of his head so the triage person moved him to the head of the line and put him in before others.

Based on the history that our questioning brought out we did an x-ray of his head. The x-ray revealed 6 [six] bullets lodged on the left side of his skull. The bullets had entered his scalp on the right side and followed along the skull under the scalp. and as Paul Harvey would say ‘the rest of the story’ was that he had attempted suicide with a 6 shot .25 semi auto and all he got out of it was a head ache.

On the other hand I have had to deal with several fatalities from single GSW [gun shot wound] with .22 caliber’s.
