Eclipse 2024  OK folks here is an early posting — The big event will be happening SOON.  You MAY still be able to get last minute stuff and top up with fuel. I recall the eclipse in Casper WY 2017 and all the foolishness that happened that day with that large number of people visiting the area[s]  We are a couple hundred miles away and we had thousands of extra people here and it was a mess! A couple of hour trip turned into 12-14 hours.

The FAA closed the airspace a bit before the eclipse and it reportedly stayed closed for awhile after and even then FAA only let a few planes leave and get clear maybe every 30 minutes or so.
