A Time for Travel ~ The Christmas Project

This is part of our Earning a living series.

Janice Czaplewski has released her new time travel adventure book for children and teens. I have known Janice for MANY years and have enjoyed many adventure stories from her.  I got an advance copy [autographed] and just could not put it down until I had finished reading it. It is sure to be a favorite for generations to come.

Her book, A Time for Travel ~ The Christmas Project is about four cousins who invent a time travel machine over Christmas vacation. They set the time for 200 years in the past and set the location for the Marble Arch Caves in Northern Ireland. That is not where they end up!

Follow Brooklyn, Caleb, Genevieve, and Kennedy as they explore the castles and caves of ancient Ireland on their grand adventures. What will they do once they get there and their time travel machine doesn’t work? Will they find the leprechauns, dragons, fairies and unicorns they are looking for? Will they get home?

A Time for Travel ~ The Christmas Project is available in paperback on Create Space and Amazon and electronically on Amazon Kindle. It is in the MatchBook program, so if you buy the paperback from Amazon, you can get the Kindle version for only $.99.

If you would like an autographed copy, contact Janice directly at janice@entire360.com. Just put the word “book” in the title of your email so she can pay attention to it right away. 🙂

Christmas Gifts

Since our children were toddlers we have given them something every Christmas that had to do with prepping. The first thing they received was a small backpack with a sleeping bag. They did not understand much in the beginning, but they learned as they grew up. As they grew they got larger and better sleeping bags and backpacks. One year we all got .22 rifles, that year they learned to shoot. One year they got fire starters and they learned how to start fires. Our daughter could start a fire with flint and steel faster than some of the boy scouts could start one with a match.  They learned prepping skills as they grew up and got their equipment. We, as parents also received prepping equipment for Christmas. As we found new improved products we replaced what we had in our backpacks. Then after Christmas we had an evening that we got our backpacks out and went through them and updated the equipment along with our clothes as our children and we changed sizes. We also have a set of clothes and hiking boots to change into when we have to bug out. They are mostly cotton clothes and layered including a sturdy coat. These are placed near our packs and we do not wear them for anything else. These also were Christmas gifts.

Our daughter is now an adult with children of her own, as we give the grandchildren Christmas gifts they are learning about prepping the same way that their mother did, a little at a time and when they are mentally ready to learn the skill. Sometimes they get upset when they get something that they want to play with or use and have to put it in their backpack, but we just tell them that they can use it when they go camping.
